We'll find out in about 2 weeks if it's deserved
At this point we've played (and pretty much dominated) the bottom of the league. That's a good thing, we've done what a good team should do against weaker opponents. Schedule ramps up after this weeks Pitt series. Keep Hammerin'

5-1 on the road in ACC play is good no matter which teams we played, imo.
No doubt the schedule toughens up after this weekend, though. Can’t overlook Pittsburgh in the process.

Agree....schedule will toughen considerably...
Thinking preseason was that winning the first 7 series was an absolute must.... Almost there.... UNC-C win, Rhode Island sweep, Stony Brook win, Notre Dame sweep, Louisville win, BC sweep Pitt remains.... it's baseball so even though Pitt looks down, gotta win it on the field.... A sweep vs Pitt would be hellaciously delightful......would put us at 11-1 in the ACC as we move into and absolute gauntlet of brutality..... That said, this team is the closest anyone around the program has seen in a LONG time.... They believe in themselves and they are there for each other.... #believe

The Athletic gave them some love today too in their CBB recap
Looking for a team flying under the national radar? Virginia Tech is 18-4 overall and 8-1 in the ACC after sweeping Boston College on the road. The Hokies rank fourth nationally in batting average (.345) and third in home runs (55) — impressive after losing talented first baseman Garrett Michel to a season-ending injury earlier this month. The schedule hasn’t been too taxing — Tech’s three ACC opponents are a combined 6-18 in league play — but this is still a very promising start after John Szefc’s club missed out on postseason play last season.
