PG and a significant amount of playing time, as I recall. This can be
confirmed by searching earlier posts around the time he was being recruited. True? I really don't know, but mentioned on several occasions.

One thing you have not mentioned is how many charges she took. Same as a
steal but the other player gets a foul. I agree with several of your points, but this part of her game, IMO, has been undervalued.

It used to make sense to play in the NIT.
Previously, perhaps you had a young team and you used the NIT for improving cohesion and improving skills. Today you really don't know who will even be on your team next year. Some of the logic for carrying on just doesn't exist. Very sad but true.

She has improved a ton attacking the basket. Finishing better or getting

Greenberg always said that Cassell gave the team an advantage. Unique
venue with raucous crowd noise and crowd seemingly hovering over the court.

I too can rally around this team. The players are playing very hard and
show that they care. Didn't know how anyone could possibly resurrect this team, but Monty has done a fine job. Hoping for good things for him after season end.

This is so frustrating. Tech pays his tuition, room, and board for a year
($50, 000) and gets virtually nothing for it. This type of thing is hard to take for donors who are asked to pony up every year.

Seeing more and more offensive players using a hard
shoulder bump to create separation. Is this not illegal, or is it the refs are choosing not to call it ?

As I recall, JHam wanted to play offense from the get-go so they honored
his request. He was okay but not outstanding as a running back, so someone (probably Bud) encouraged him to move to defense and he agreed. From my recollection, he did a good job and prospered.

I'm hoping we become the team nobody wants to play, i.e.
tenacious defense, including diving for balls. Offense may take a while.

It seems that the courts have rendered the NCAA toothless. Politicians may
have to get involved as they did in Virginia with NIL. Getting out of this mess may look like making sausage.

For sure Blacksburg is not a large metropolitan area. What most
people, and particularly consultants, don't understand is that you literally get the state of Virginia with VT. UVA is a non-entity as it relates to football, and Tech grads and fans are scattered throughout the state...not to mention rabid.

Well, some may go to Kentucky. But even the other
players need to know who the replacement will be ASAP. Otherwise, it could be even worse. I wouldn't consider any one of them to be disloyal.

So true, but it took a lot of guts (or whatever) to keep her in after the
grand slam. Though, Pete has been doing this a lot longer than me...which is never.

Dang, if Pete wanted to see how Grein would do under fire, he took it
to the brink. Glad it all worked out, but I could do without the suspense.

She was our only player that could keep Harris from driving.
She is very quick and did a good job when we were in man to man defense.

I like her a lot but Brooks knows the margin of error
is very thin when playing teams like LSU. Wenzel had 2 turnovers in 10 minutes of play and, as I recall, they actually occurred within 5 minutes of each other. One of the turnovers was a lazy pass. Keep in mind that Brooks first, and foremost, is trying to win the game...although I will certainly concede that nothing worked the other night, outside of Amoore and Kitley.

The way that play evolved you would have thought a fight would have broken
out. But Beran headed to the bench with a huge grin, and surely his demeanor energized the team. Loved that play.
