Another bad game for Nazareth. I didn't see the game so can't say how good/bad Peyton was last night. Here are the stats: Rushing: (N) Peyton Falzone 9-60 Passing: (N) Falzone 11-20-2, 154 yards, TD GO HOKIES BEAT THE Knights of Jersey

Peyton goes to Nazareth HS and they played Freedom (where Kaden & Braelin Moore went). Both teams go in undefeated and Nazareth got bloodied up. STATS: Passing: Peyton Falzone 14-32-1, 143 yards, TD. Not his best outing Rushing: Marquez Wimberly 13-59; Peyton Falzone 5-(-7); Caleb Newsome 1-4; Jacob Angione 3-3; Logan Smith 3-17; Team 1-(-4). (Peyton had rushes for over 50 yds in his last 3 games, so not a good game.) Final Score - Nazareth 10 - Freedom 38 - halftime score 10 - 10 A bad second half GO HOKIES BE THE monarchs!!!

I realize that he is a verbal 2026 commit, and it is a long time until he will sign his LOI. BUT for NOW he has verballed and I am having fun watching him play, sitting in the stands, talking to the parents of some of the players and eating $2.50 cheese dogs. Falzone, who has committed to play at Virginia Tech, completed 17 of 24 passes for 191 yards. The 6-foot-5 junior quarterback also rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

Nazareth 34, Whitehall 6 Marquez Wimberly started Nazareth off with a big 46-yard run that set up a one-yard rushing touchdown by Jayden Wolf to give the Blue Eagles a 6-0 lead. Whitehall cut the lead to 6-3 on Cole Richards’ 30-yard field goal. Nazareth extended its lead to 13-3 after a Wimberly one-yard touchdown run. With 26 seconds left in the half, Richards connected on his second field goal of the night and made it 13-6 at intermission. In the third quarter, Peyton Falzone scored on a one-yard run, and Nazareth led 20-6. Falzone’s second rushing touchdown of the night, this time a 13-yard score, gave Nazareth a 27-6 lead. Nazareth went up 34-6 as Jacob Angione ran it in from two yards out. OK the local paper for some reason doesn't post stats so don't know Peyton's passing and rushing stats. This is what I saw. Peyton had a beautiful 35-40 yd pass to his WR right on the numbers and he was open and the WR dropped it. The same WR caught another pass of about 25 yds. Peyton threw a 50 yd (yes 50 yd he was at mid field) into the end zone but for some reason two WR were converging into the same location and it was broken up. I wonder if the route was run differently a solo receiver was there if it would've been completed. The nice thing is they continued the drive and scored a TD. Just a shame that pass was incomplete, it was a nice one and seemed like it was going to be complete. Peyton can run and definitely has some speed and can juke for some nice runs. He seems to accelerate well from a smooth roll out looking downfield to kicking it in when nothing was there. He is only a Junior and will get bigger but he did look a bit thin, then again he wears #11 so it could be slimming. The Blue Eagles outgained Hazleton 369-87. Nazareth got 113 yards rushing and two TD runs by Virginia Tech commit QB Peyton Falzone, who also completed 17 of 28 passes for 176 yards and a pair of scores. Lafayette commit Caleb Newsome had five receptions for 69 yards and a TD. For a team with a lot of inexperienced players, it was a good confidence-builder with Whitehall and Wilson West Lawn coming up before league play begins. Jr. Peyton Falzone, Nazareth: The Virginia Tech commit completed 171 of 280 pass attempts (61.1%) for 2,678 yards and 21 touchdowns while throwing just four interceptions as a sophomore. Last Night Nazareth beat Hazelton 42 - 7. Nazareth started off the season with a 20-yard Peyton Falzone touchdown pass to Caleb Newsome. Falzone, a Virginia Tech commit, found Tanner Zelachowski for a 4-yard score to extend Nazareth’s lead to 14-0. Falzone continued to put points on the scoreboard, this time with a 9-yard touchdown run. Hazleton answered to cut the lead to 21-7 at the half. In the second half, Newsome scored his second touchdown of the night, this time a punt return, and Nazareth led 28-7. Marquez Wimberly punched it in for Nazareth from 2 yards out, giving the Blue Eagles a 35-7 lead with 9:49 left in the fourth. Falzone added his fourth touchdown, this one an impressive 52-yard rushing touchdown, and Nazareth led 42-7.

I'm heading out on the 2nd and returning on the 6th. Room booked, not air yet. To get to Palo Alto you can catch the Caltrain off the BART to P-A. I figure to Uber around rather than renting a car for $$. I plan to look into some wine tasting and sampling a variety of food. I'm considering getting a ticket off of Stubhub to get as seat around the 20-30 yd line rather than sitting up in the corner off visitor tickets as I did at Nebraska, 'hoos and Rutgers. If I'm spending 2 grand for air/hotel/food what's another $150 or so for a better seat. My hotel with less than 2 miles from the stadium and on the bus route. Look into Comfort Inn and others a bit south of the University. GO HOKIES!!!

So now after 20 plus games and bouncing around from 8 to 18 they are back at 8. AND yes why behind NC ST after beating them twice in the season. Because people want controversy to make the fans go whacko. GO HOKIES!!!

I have not seen the team look so lost. Halfway in the second quarter to the end of the game, they looked like they couldn't remember what sport they were playing. Better get their stuff together by Sunday. GO HOKIES!!!

In what 25 years, uva has beaten Tech 1 or 2 times in scott stadium. That scott stadium is almost homefield for the Hokies. GO HOKIES!!!

First I knew there was a rebuild to be done and I did not expect much last season. However, I did expect improvement in year 2 of the Coach Pry error. Improved run defense Improved Passing offense Improved Run offense +/- on Take aways at least even reduction in penalties - OK that may be better by a bit, just not when we have a 3rd and 2 that goes to 3rd and 7 or 17. I look at other teams that were bad two years ago and find that in year two or even one, they have improve: Duke, GT, Colorado, to name a few. Where did they find their QBs that are having completion rates in excess of 65%. Where is our coaches scouting and evaluation. Where is the O-line in run offense ranked - 130th? This stinks to high heaven. If it is the assistants then Pry needs to jetison them ASAP. If it is the players, then your recruiting eval needs work OR you need to coach them up better. IF need be ask them to go to the Portal and find new recruits via Portal and HS recruit. This crap needs to be turned around soon or next is to pay a (^)(()(( load of money and do a new head coach search, 'cuse this ain't good. Clean up the stench soon. GO HOKIES BEAT pitt!!!

there is only one person on the bench that can fill in. I fear this is the same problem with the Men's team too with Hunter out. Both seem to be hurting on O & D with the loss of one starter and playing with a 6 person team. I know that eventually someone will develop into the "7th & 8th" player but could we get more than one at a time and maybe get 2 developing and spelling some people from playing 39 of 40 minutes every game. It will help Kenny and Mike a lot. They are recruiting well and coaching up, just need them to speed up the process so there is a secure 8 person deep team. As a fan I'd like it too, as I'm an old alum and my heart can't take these close games. GO HOKIES!!!

to look for: KARIM BRICE: Liberty WR-DB The speedy Brice had a 75-yard punt return for a score against Freedom and had four TD receptions covering 67 yards or more. His 610 receiving yards were second-most in the EPC South and his 38 catches were fourth. more. He was a first-team all-EPC South all-star selection. If the Hurricanes are going to go from 1-9 into EPC South and District 11 6A contention, Brice will likely be leading the way. CHRISTIAN BUNDRA: Northampton OT-DT (same HS as Jim Druckenmiller) At 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, Bundra was one of the biggest reasons why the Konkrete Kids won their first 11 games last season and got their first District 11 playoff win. Bundra was instrumental in creating holes for Caden Henritzy and Everett Luisi in the K-Kids ground game and protected QB Cooper King. He was a first-team all-EPC North selection on defense and offense and will be counted on to deliver leadership for a less experienced team this year. TYLIK JARVIS: Emmaus RB-OLB Injuries slowed Jarvis last year, but he ran for 508 yards and six scores and averaged 6.9 yards per carry. He showed what he can do in the season opener at Stroudsburg when he scored four touchdowns and had a 68-yard punt return and a 68-yard burst from scrimmage. He followed that up with a 65-yard TD run against Freedom and added a 68-yard TD run against Whitehall. OWEN JOHNSON: Freedom WR-DB (same HS as the Moore brothers) Johnson led the Patriots with 28 catches for 574 yards, averaging 20.5 yards per catch, and scored six TDs last season. He was a first-team all-EPC South selection and a second-team choice on defense along with his brother Kyle. He led the team in tackles with 75 and had four sacks and an interception. Although no official announcement has been made, he’s expected to be going to Harvard along with his brother. Lead-in here. NIGEL LINTON: Whitehall RB-LB (same HS as Saquan Barkley) Injuries limited Linton’s numbers last season and most of his production came in the first half of the season when he scored three touchdowns against Liberty on Saquon Barkley Jersey Retirement Night, had two TDs against Bethlehem Catholic, and a 73-yard TD run against Emmaus. He finished with 409 yards rushing and nine TDs and will be one of the few returning experienced skill-position players on the Whitehall offense. GRIFFIN PATRIDGE: Allentown Central Catholic WR-LB The three-sport athlete will play a pivotal role on both sides of the ball for the Vikings as they go for their third straight district championship. He was a second-team EPC South all-star selection last year as a receiver. He caught 45 passes, second most in the EPC South, for 539 yards and six touchdowns. He also made 60 tackles, including three sacks on defense. ANDRE REAMES: Stroudsburg RB Reames ran for 1,022 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2021, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. He had TD runs of 88 and 53 yards against EPC North champion Northampton and had a 74-yard TD run against District 11 5A champ East Stroudsburg South. He also had seven catches for 86 yards and has all kinds of college opportunities since he also had a 3.6 GPA. SONNY SASSO: Nazareth QB (can he QB in the fall and wrestle in the winter?) A state wrestling champ at 189 and The Morning Call’s 3A wrestler of the year, Sasso is set to have similar success on the gridiron. After winning a close battle for quarterback last year, Sasso was second in the EPC South in passing yards with 1,77 yards and threw 15 touchdowns with just eight interceptions in 225 attempts. Nine of his TD tosses covered 30 yards or more and two of his top targets from last season, Mason Kuehner and Nolan Lobb return. Sasso also ran for 282 yards and five TDs. TREY TREMBA: Parkland RB-DB Tremba was a second-team EPC South all-star selection last year at receiver after making 32 catches for 364 yards and four TDs. He only had 29 rushing attempts for 91 yards and a pair of scores, but expect that number to increase in 2022 and him to be featured much more in the running game. He also had five tackles on defense last season and could be a factor on that side of the ball as well. ERIC WERT: Bethlehem Catholic WR-DB (OK another football in the fall and Baseball in the Spring??) A dynamic athlete who also shines on the baseball field, Wert will stretch the field for the Golden Hawks with speed and sure hands. He caught 16 passes for 184 yards and four TDs as a sophomore in 2020 and had the third-most receptions in the EPC South last season when he snagged 39 receptions for 390 yards and two scores. He also has the quickness and awareness to make plays in the defensive backfield. There may be a connection with some of the HS. But maybe steal some of these PA ballers from potentially PSU or Pitt and get them to sunny and warm Blacksburg VA. GO HOKIES!!!

I'm sure other positions are the same unless your name is Tom Brady. Sure there are Lineman with 10-12 year careers and even more than double that with one year. I think Keene may see another team, Ford less confident. So live off a third to half of your NFL income and stash the rest. You may NEVER get a salary again like a Pro-Sport contract. I remember Bill Ellenbogen telling me one time, he knew he'd never get the big contract but managed to get good contracts over his career and he was smart enough to invest a lot of his money. He has a chance of being a deep threat, but he has to be seen as a threat and I would like at least 2 balls thrown his way in the ODU game. If he nails one of the two, there would definitely be a concern in the next game.
