is over. Might as well hibernate until Baseball and Softball season and that will be for a week until everyone goes season is over after 2 games, maybe one, maybe 2 innings.
There were two games played that Tech dropped by a total of 6 points. One bounce here, one extra rebound there and Tech wins both. By some of the diatribe the team was beat by 50.
In March then give an analysis, until then, shut the &*()&( up.

We just got absolutely manhandled by the team picked DFL in their conference. If that game was a harbinger of what's to come, we're in for a REALLY long season. That game was an absolute S-show.

/need of extreme reactions. Criticize. Question, All of that yes. But extreme? We have seen far worse football and basketball games deserving of extreme reactions.

That team was way overmatched out there tonight. Out-coached, out-played, out-manned. Against, again, the team picked DEAD LAST in their league. We were a one man team out there tonight, and it was absolutely a **** show.

Middle of the pack teams lose to anyone. Any may bottom of SEC is better than middle/bottom of ACC. I have watched VT basketball since 1982. I have save far, far worse.
And I have been critical. The offense ranges from too predictable with its sets that Young is praised for and then turn into pick up ball. That is actually college basketball these days anyway.
But again, whatever it was, in 40+ years of watching VT basketball, we have seen far, far worse.

expecting Beran, Long, Rech and Nickel to eventually learn CMY's game systems and be contributors in scoring, as well as becoming more comfortable with the complexities of playing defense against good teams. Will this team make the NCAA? No one knows. We probably won't know a lot until 10-12 games into the season.

Its our first test of the season against a P5 team with SEC athletes. MY is still trying to figure out his best five players. We have a lot of season left to play..
The offense was crazy efficient even with an 8 min scoring drought. Interesting that he played Nickel down the stretch. I am high on a guy who is the all time leading scorer in VA high school bball history. Good energy and seems like a guy who could thrive in a MY offense. We will see if he can give enough to displace collins minutes.
