Jr. Peyton Falzone, Nazareth: The Virginia Tech commit completed 171 of 280 pass attempts (61.1%) for 2,678 yards and 21 touchdowns while throwing just four interceptions as a sophomore. Last Night Nazareth beat Hazelton 42 - 7. Nazareth started off the season with a 20-yard Peyton Falzone touchdown pass to Caleb Newsome. Falzone, a Virginia Tech commit, found Tanner Zelachowski for a 4-yard score to extend Nazareth’s lead to 14-0. Falzone continued to put points on the scoreboard, this time with a 9-yard touchdown run. Hazleton answered to cut the lead to 21-7 at the half. In the second half, Newsome scored his second touchdown of the night, this time a punt return, and Nazareth led 28-7. Marquez Wimberly punched it in for Nazareth from 2 yards out, giving the Blue Eagles a 35-7 lead with 9:49 left in the fourth. Falzone added his fourth touchdown, this one an impressive 52-yard rushing touchdown, and Nazareth led 42-7.
