Catcher
We need a catcher with a great arm. She needs to be able to catch rise and drop pitchers. Zoey is great at times. She should always bat.

Schedule
Schedule a much harder pre conference schedule. Play in Nutter, Clearwater or other really tough tournaments. Those pre conference weekends we play one good team and several bad teams. When you lose to a bad team it hurts a lot more.

The analysts on the game were very confused with our pitch calling. For example if a girl was not chasing the rise, we still threw it on a full count.

I don’t know anything. I do see body language and lack of cheering. Some girls not making plays they have made all season. It just seems like something is wrong. I don’t think it was the golden ticket but we have not been the same since Pitt. So in that few days something happened or it all came to a head.

It seems as if -Emma got the golden ticket, we went to Pitt. Emma L had a bad day. Our coaches leave her in too long. Then we end up losing that game. The finger pointing started. Now there is unrest amongst the team. The team is uptight. The team does not appear to have fun. I know CP wants to be all business but these are young adult women, they want this to be fun. If you want results he has got to coach them up. They need to put this behind them & remember that they are really good.

Maybe the pitcher covers 1st in baseball but not in softball. 1st base woman covers 1st unless it’s a bunt, 2nd covers on a bunt.

Mazz did not do well against good teams in the first half of the season. Those are the types of teams we will face in post season. There is ta reason her ERA is high.

The ump was very inconsistent but our fans heckled him all night. Heckling an ump does not help get good calls. Heckling our STUDENT athletes is unacceptable as well. The comments I heard in the stands tonight are repulsive. Grown a** men should be ashamed of the things they say about 18-23 year old young ladies. If you come to the game you should cheer for the team on the field. Go Hokies!

Mazzarone was only pitcher who did not give up runs. She is treated as the #2. Why wasn’t she used at all today? Lemley & Kleiman pitched all 3 days.

This board is a convo about the ups & downs of a long season. Just b/c people question things does not make them negative. These coaches have done a lot of bone head things so far this season. I can make a list if you’d like. #1 on my list Assuming anyone can play Left field! Cassie was giving up fly balls against S Utah & we couldn’t catch them. They aren’t errors as no one touched them. They are still huge mistakes!

Schedule
Why do we only schedule 50 games? To make ncaa tourney we need approx. 40 wins & good RPI. We don’t play good enough competition to have a good RPI. There is always a chance of canceled games, why not schedule 56 to insure enough wins? We will never get to host regional unless our strength of schedule improves.
