The same folks who bragg up our team when we're winning cry lack of resources when we lose. Which is it? I get that we can't complete against the best but this team is called the Zips and lost 24 games before playing us. Why do we hit the wall when the tournament begins? @MidloHokie - I sure like to hear your thoughts about what is next for us.

I don't get too excited about uniforms one way or another. Some look good on the ladies and some not. That gray and red on the Indiana team looks really nice. Just the right shade of gray.

Yesterday the annoucers were making a big deal of FSU's nationally ranked 111 (now 112) doubles. That's good I guess but ... Louisville has 111 and Tech has 107. Not too shabby!

If I was her father I would rather her spend 4 years at Marquette and get the best education she could earn. I know it can be done and has been done but I am not a big fan of transferring college credits.

315 miles from Dayton TN to Blacksburg is just to far for me to travel. But thanks to VTChip and many other posters, Live Stats, and the ESPN mix, I feel like I'm a part of the crowd. My wife and I so enjoy watching these young women play softball. We are proud of how they represent VT off the field and in the classroom. We'll prepare early, watch the schedule and who knows maybe we will make a game somewhere next year. Until then there's lots of cheering to be done!

All the SEC women's basketball teams are schooled in rugby ball. When teams outside of the conference try to immitate the style they are called for fouls. I just don't know why refs allow this to continue. Just too many fouls to call I guess.

Has Annika's fielding been off a little this season? I don't remember her making 6 errors.

This young woman (who did not start) went 5 for 5 from 3 before missing her 6th shot during Syracuse's first half against Iowa State. She didn't get the ball much in the 2nd half, lost her grove and went 0 for 4. Still quite an accomplishment for a player who only made 10 shots from 3 all season. Those that know seem to think the TN women make the ncaa tournament again. They are 16-11 with 5 straight losses. SEC bias anyone?

I'm VERY old school and believed getting a college scholarship was plenty reward for playing a sport. Not many will share that thought today. However, I don't deny athletes any "reward" they receive. I'm in awl how the best are still real students and graduate. But we cannot deny that they are really employees except in name. That opens everything up. Is it fair that we expect 18-23 year old women to be perfect, mistake free and never have an off night? Surely not, but I repeat $ change everything. The thing I expect players on all our teams to learn is how to win and lose gracifully. Today that means they must be a little more thick skinned and I'm not sure that is such a bad thing. I hope the team is enjoying this season as much as I am. I can't imagine how hard it must be to hear criticism of your daughter when it's not always warranted. Good or bad I don't think anyone can deny Carleigh gives her best every game. I hope you will reconsider and continue to share your perspective on this board. Just one fan's thoughts ...
