I live in the same
neighborhood as Joel and his wife. He was very kind to me last summer when my wife passed away.

He and his wife
moved into my neighborhood in Dahlonega a couple of years ago. I am going to his celebration of life on Sunday. I just saw him a couple of weeks ago. I was shocked when I heard a couple of days ago. They had opened a really nice coffee/sandwich shop a few months ago. Such a nice guy.

Combination. UVA offers
nothing to another conference from a football standpoint. But,the SEC,for example,does not seem overly concerned about that. It seems they may want to bring UVA in to upgrade the academics of the conference plus basketball. UVA would not be a top choice,but would be behind programs like UNC and Clemson. In football,UVA would be the Vanderbilt of the conference.

A combination of non Big 12 and Big 12 plus ESPN writers. In
all cases,VT is projected to the Big 12 if they make a move.

It is a strategic move. If the
ACC implodes,ESPN will renegotiate money down. So,VT would get less money than they do now. They would get a bigger payout in,say,the Big 12 although not nearly as much as in the Big 10 or SEC.

If I were a betting man,I would say
Big 12 right now. Of course,things can change. I follow a lot of different people/podcasts with various levels of knowledge. The Big 12 is what I hear almost exclusively.

getting an MBA(Marketing)and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years.

I studied
Microbiology,so I ended up taking 3 years of chemistry(Inorganic,Organic,Quantitative Analysis)...and hated every minute. I got a C in Organic and was happy.

Similar to
tennis,but played with a paddle and plastic whiffle ball on a smaller court. Many tennis courts have been lined to also play pickleball. So,less running and more volleying,especially when playing doubles. Lots of info on the web....

We stayed
at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head last year. Every morning,they had between 90-100 people playing pickleball. It is considered to be one of the top places to play. There were players from newbies all the way up to professional players.

Anyone play
pickleball? I just played for the first time this week. I have played a lot of tennis and ping pong over the years and pickleball seems to be a blend of the two. I just read that it is a fast growing sport with 4.5 million Americans now playing. I would expect it to eventually be in the Olympics.

My dad is
88 and suffering from dementia. Going down mentally and physically. He was always fit mentally and physically until the last 5 years or so.

Most leases give you
10-12k miles per year before you get charged extra. Really depends on whether you want a new car and the type/price of the car.

Overdose is now
the leading cause of death for people in the 18-45 age range,with most of it coming from Fentanyl. I saw a stat today indicating that the Fentanyl supply in the U.S. has increased significantly in the past 3 years. Most of it comes from China and is coming across the southern border via the Mexican cartels. Unfortunately,the border is now a sieve.

...and China is
increasing the production of coal powered power plants. So,two countries that represent approximately 1/3 of the world`s population(China and India)continue to pollute the earth`s atmosphere with no plans to change...and pollution does not stop spreading at a country`s boundaries. In the mean time,the U.S.is spending billions of dollars to convert to "clean" energy,while negatively impacting the average person`s day to day quality of life with higher energy costs. Consider,also,that over 60% of electricity is produced by using the fossil fuels that the government is trying to eliminate. People need to understand that we do not have,nor are willing to accept(nuclear),the technology to move away from fossil fuels in the near future. The government is foolishly trying to rapidly force changes that they are not equipped to handle. Who plays the price? We do....

I lift
M-W-F. But,I do a whole body work out. Approaching the age of 67,I am not interested in intense weight lifting. Plus,I play golf on Tuesdays and don`t want to interfere with that....

It could
end up in the Supreme Court since some feel that is does not fall under the 2003 Heros Act that was used to initiate the move. It was intended to be used in the case of national emergencies. With the unemployment rate very low and jobs readily available,the $10,000 loan cancellation looks more like a political move 8 weeks before national elections than a move to deal with a national emergency.
