Saw this story last night and thought it interesting and scary.
Artificial Intelligence wins an art contest. It is a really nice picture I would hang on a wall. The simulation argument is getting more real just change 2D to 3D. I am going to break the pattern and start buying my lottery tickets at different times of the day and at different gas stations. Of course, Frank Herbert made the laws in Dune. “Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of the human mind.”

We will get to the
point somewhere down the road where AI will determine that humans are no longer necessary. Hello HAL.... ** Edited by VTUD at 9/8/2022, 12:37:17 PM

Sure, eventually. But the early days of sentient AI will probably be great
Lots of advanced technological and medical breakthroughs. Now your great grandkids might be hunted down like dogs by hunter-killer drones, but that's their problem.

...or AI will
decide to shut down the electric grid and humans will commit mass suicide because they can`t play their electronic games and charge their electric cars. :)

That picture that won the art contest is pretty awesome.
Maybe the humans just need to try harder.
