Somebody said that adding teams to the ACC could negate the GOR... is that
true? Would adding Stanford and Cal dissolve the GOR? Can't imagine the ACC would want to do that!

Tough season for our HOKIES but they played tough through out...
Injuries made it tough on us this year. The team played hard every game but just came up a little short to often. I am still very excited about the future w/ CMY. GO HOKIES!!!

I feel that if the game were played mid/late season we would have had no problem. Bad setup for Pry. Although I am from Tidewater so I am getting razzed by acquaintances I have talked to in years. Losing to ODU SUCKS! To me it is even worse than losing to UVA (mostly for recruiting reasons).
All that being said, how long will it take for Pry to land ONE four star recruit? Usually when a school gets a charismatic new coach there is an initial bump in recruiting. Al Groh and Mike London did it at Virginia. Both FU and Pry have seemed to be slow out of the gate. Thoughts?

So glad we won an ACC Hoops title before the conference goes bust...
Hopefully we will be able to right the ship as a conference but I just feel our days are numbered.

In 2003 w/ the addition of Miami and VT, the ACC in my opinion was...
the premier conference. If FSU, Clemson, Miami, VT could have all remained strong, we would not be having this conversation in 2022.

In July 2003 when VT and Miami got in the ACC I thought we would never...
have to worry about conference affiliation again. We would be set until the end of time! The thought of having VT, Miami, FSU, Clemson, UNC, Duke etc. in one conference would be the best conference in America. Well here we are almost 20 years later and the ACC is hanging on by a thread and VT is in jeopardy of being left out of a big time conference. Never would have imagined...
The ACC brass could never figure out how to capitalize on what we had... and here we are...

The sad part about all of this is that the ACC is a great conference...
It is where we always wanted to be. The rivalries we have are great in Fball, Bball etc. I have no interest in the BIG and honestly, I don't understand why they get so much $. Other than Oh St. and Mich. I think most of that conference is pretty blaaahhh... The SEC would be intriguing by getting to play Florida, Georgia, Bammer, Tenn. etc. but we would be getting our arses handed to us most times. These idiots that run the BIG and SEC just can't leave well enough alone. Please leave the ACC out of your $ grab and let us continue to enjoy the conference we love.
