I don't think Pop is the answer. Maybe try a true freshman... Why not?
Not sure why Tech would bring Rangel in if he wasn't good enough to at least try him in a game... I agree that it must be an injury thing.

Well I am on the opposite end of the spectrum
Probably has been at least over a year the last time Tech played two decent games back to back .... So since they played a good 2nd half and OT to beat Cal, I'm expecting this game will bring us back to WTF status as fans .... I do hope I'm wrong ...

8/11 for 144 2 TDs 0 Ints in 1st vs #9 team. Seems reasonable for a CFB QB
Not a guarantee to be a NFL QB IMO but can be a solid college QB especially with his running ability

By the same token, People need to realize a big hire isn't a guarantee
A big splash hire can also miss and tbh if by chance it does would probably be worse .... There is going to be a high level of pressure on this committee that's for sure. I wouldn't believe Montgomery is currently on the list but I guess he can earn consideration with 7 + wins .... 7-2 record would be an accomplishment

5-2 with win @ UVA while bringing the team together. Then he should...
The "big" splash idea can be overrated....
However, if $$ is there I'm guessing there will be big splash opportunities for Tech.... Really depends on who will be making the decision IMO

I'm not going to complain.... That was an unexpected good half
Mistakes? Yeah they had some ... But they are playing hard. I'll take this type of Tech football for the rest of the season

I would like to see him play....
Tech may not realize this but a QB who can actually throw the ball can be a positive attribute to the offense. They should go ahead and find out if he can make the offense click ....

Afterwards there was a change of opinion on Huff since most didn't know anything about Pry ....

If HC/OC/DC can't develop or correctly use the recruits it's a moot point
Tech will want to keep him hopefully but at the moment the team wasn't getting the most out of these recruits with this coaching staff

If Tech let's Whit go, it would be a welcomed outcome.
I'd at least feel that Tech is finally seeing the problems and will attempt to correct them

I'm going to assume the AD pulled the plug on Pry to help save his own job
I can see Whit finagle his way into a stay ...
However IMO Pry's hire and the things with Fuente should have been enough to have made this a combo firing

He has proven he can't find a HC who would be a good fit financially while being able to actually be a good leader as well

Tech will wait until after the season to save a little $$ on Pry
In addition: If the season plays out like many of us now expect as a total and completely massive meltdown and embarrassment, it may also give more credit to removing Whit as well. Which would be a benefit
