I never thought I'd miss getting up at 5 am to take my daughters to
volleyball tournaments, but I do.

Due to downsizing, our family moved our snorkeling vacation from
the Great Barrier Reef to the Shenandoah River.

Even as young adults it's sound advice. I tell me kids to max out Roth
because they'll never pay lower taxes than they do now.
I backdoor my maximum each year.

They are all minor incidents until they're not. I'd suggest driving lessons
by a 3rd party and make him pay for them.

After I was married, I remember our first "big screen" tv purchase.
It was actually a Proscan tube TV that had 2 remotes. One for programming and one you could only use to turn the tv on/off, adjust the volume, or change the channel. I programmed the TV to our cable box and deleted out off all the channels we didn't subscribe to make it quicker to get to "real" stations. As I finish programming the TV, I used the master remote to try it out. When I changed the channel up, sometimes it would go 2, or 3 channels up, and when I changed it down, it would do the same. I was not happy and decided to clear out all of the programming and start over. I went back through the programming and I had the same problem. However, this time I heard my wife giggling in the background. She had the simple remote changing channels and volume as I was testing the TV. She still tells the story. I guess I knew then that I really had met my match.

That problem was pre 2006. 2003/2004 was the worst.
I know about the IMS bearing issue from experience.

Simple story. They played the US Senior Open at the course I'm a member.
All of the golfers would eat and hang out in the Men's Grill, except for Norman. He ate alone in the locker room on one of the benches. No one liked him.

I think I gave you the wrong name. I use IndyHokie on other boards.
Too many Painkillers.

@B777Fr8Dog, great meeting you and the family.
Great conversation. Have a wonderful end to your trip. If you have a layover in Indy, let me know.

Lots of trouble. Mud and tweezed eyebrows don't match. Hey, but
jump on the rollercoaster. It might be fun.

The last upgrade made my Control4 system almost impossible to play my
own library of music. I hate Sonos.

I'll nominate the 1978/79 Cast of SNL
This show transformed late night when I was at VT. We'd all head home for the "library" to crowd into one room to watch every week.

From what I remember, VT wouldnβt give Fuente the $$ to hire, and
then he shopped and found a better deal.

Probably a scam. Careful. Iβve had these type emails/texts before. I
always go back and check my record.

I've always wanted a Porsche 356, but they're priced out of my range.
The Haynes car has meaning to me as I've worked at the company Elwood Haynes started in 1912 for the last 37 years. My issue is the car is currently in Solingen, Germany, and I'm not sure how much it would be to insure and ship to the States.
I'll be in Germany in January and February, so I'm trying to arrange an inspection while I'm there.

Here's the car I'm thinking about buying.
It's a 1919 Haynes.

I've done business in China for over 20 years. If you're judging a Chinese
car price vs a price from anywhere else in the world, you're not comparing apples to apples. In my dealings, they never include their true costs, for example the cost of capital, in the production of the vehicle. Since they are government controlled, they don't have profit motivation. Their main goal is drive prices so low that no one else can compete.
They've used the same approach in every market they play in. Look at stainless steel and solar panels. They have a 50 year plan, while we look at next quarter's earnings.

Ganymede. I only know this because it's a Chimney Rock wine. I actually
had a bottle of this over Christmas. They told the story of the wine's name during our tasting at the winery when we were in Napa 3 year's ago.

Slammin' Sammie Snead - US Open
I only know this because we used to hit the Sam Snead restaurant in Myrtle Beach every trip there.

We saw them last October, but I heard The Sphere is awesome for concerts.
Iβll post a review later this weekend.

My friend needed an electrician for a small job at his house. When he
called a local electrical firm he was asked if he was a current customer. When he said no, they told him that they weren't taking new customers at the time.
