2002. It makes me cry with happiness. I would love to have it. (sigh)
Agreeing with the "pre-yuppie" comment below, those cars were bought by people in-the-know, usually military who were stationed in Europe/Germany...kind of culty at the time.
Then, everyone else discovered them later. So yeah, I admire people that owned those in the day when they really were cool.

The Haynes car has meaning to me as I've worked at the company Elwood Haynes started in 1912 for the last 37 years. My issue is the car is currently in Solingen, Germany, and I'm not sure how much it would be to insure and ship to the States.
I'll be in Germany in January and February, so I'm trying to arrange an inspection while I'm there.

I called a premier restoration place in NC the other day and asked them, "If i brought you a decent shape 2002, what would call me to turn it into a great top notch refurbed car that looked great"
The guys says, "a 2002 is now $100K to redo"
