After the Battle at Bristol, I won't do another event like that.
Just about every fan will have a better view watching on a television in the parking lot, and will also save $220. I would anticipate that speculators are buying a lot of the tickets, but won't be able to sell them and the prices on the secondary market will drop.

Saw them twice while promoting Folk Hop n' Roll, they were terrific folk.
2017 and 2018. Lots of Banjo and Mandolin, with some pop sprinkled in. They were a lot more folk than pop. I saw them twice on the Pep Talks tour, and I don't know if I would see them again. They had little to no Banjo and Mandolin, and played a mostly pop show. I didn't care at all for that new direction. The worst part about seeing them on the Pep Talks tour in 2019 is that I turned down an opportunity to see the Black Pumas that same night in a 500 seat music hall. I'll never have that opportunity again.

You’ll still need access to ESPNU via a cable provider or streaming service. Or find someone with cable/streaming access and use their log in.

Some PAC 12 Network content moving to ACCN? (link)
"The proposal, still in its infancy, heavily involves the ESPN-owned ACC Network. Under the plan, the ACC Network—or a renamed entity combining the two leagues—will have exclusive rights to broadcast Pac-12 games to West Coast households through ESPN cable providers. The agreement is not a merger or consolidation of the leagues but is instead built around a media rights agreement with the worldwide leader in sports—an effort to clap back at the Pac-12’s loss of USC and UCLA to the Big Ten.
While the joint move could feature marquee nonconference matchups from the West and East Coasts—think Clemson-Washington or Miami-Oregon—the primary reason behind the partnership is the TV property. This would replace the failed Pac-12 Network with a reliable provider that can reach millions of homes out west."

Intervals. Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) is your friend.
Steady-state cardio (walking/cycling at a moderate pace) is good for general health and does burn calories. Walking for an hour burns 200-350 calories. You'll need to burn about 3,500 calories to lose a pound, so without diet changes you'll have to walk for 10+ days to lose a pound. But once you stop walking, the calorie burn ends.
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) can burn as many as 500 calories in 30 minutes. With HIIT training comes EPOC, which also burns calories after the exercise session ends. Your body goes into an oxygen deficit, and it takes time to replenish your oxygen levels. While your body is replenishing your oxygen levels, more calories are burned. This can occur for 24+ hours. As much as 15% of the calories burned during a HIIT workout will be burned after your workout. So if you burn 300 calories in a 15 minute HIIT session, you'll burn an additional 45 calories while recovering.

The Angelos family worked hard to prevent DC from getting a team, and has seemed content to cash the TV checks without striving to put a quality product on the field. Snyder is in general an awful human being with a toxic workplace culture.

I have an Igrill, and I love it and would highly recommend.
The app allows me to monitor the grill while elsewhere in the house. You can get multiple probes, the model I have has ports for 4. The app allows you to specify the type of meat that you are cooking, and the desired temperature. As the desired internal temperature approaches, you'll receive an alert. You'll get another alert when the internal temperature is reached.

Agreed. VT isn't adding men's lacrosse.
With the strength of the ACC (except for 2022), it would take 10+ years and a lot of resources to even finish 5th in the conference. The club team is very good for a club team, but couldn't compete in D1. They could beat Hampton, who is the worst team out of 73 teams. Maybe VMI, who is 68. It would take a lot of new talent to beat anyone in the top 60, and that would take a long time and resources to acquire. If a newly formed VT team played the Hoos 2022 schedule, the only chance for a W would be Quinnipiac. High Point is middle of the pack (32nd) and would easily beat a new VT team for a number of years.

I've had 3 friends with torn biceps tendon: 2 at elbow, one at shoulder.
One is still in recovery (elbow), other two are nearly 100%. What they were told is that the tear at the shoulder is a harder surgery (hard to navigate the shoulder capsule to reattach the tendon), but easier recovery. Elbow tear is easier surgery, but harder recovery. The two that are nearly 100% are very active and were very diligent with their post-surgery treatment.

Pitch clock reducing minor league games by 20 minutes (link)
Games with a pitch clock (14 seconds with no runners on base, 18 seconds with runners on base) are 2 hours, 39 minutes, compared to 2 hours, 59 minutes for games without the clock. Scoring was virtually unaffected. Coming to MLB in 2023.

Going to see Leon Bridges next month, he’s been high on my list for some time. Hopefully Sturgill’s vocal chords heal. Just checked off The War on Drugs, will be seeing them again this year. Seen Jason Isbell several times, will see him every chance I can.

They've been good owners.
They've spent money wisely although they have more playoff failures than successes. It could be argued that Scherzer is one of the best free agent signings in baseball history. I didn't understand signing Werth when they did, but his presence in the clubhouse seemed to be of great value. I agree wholeheartedly with the decision to let Harper walk. They're being a bit more proactive with keeping Soto, but it's still going to be tough to resign him.

Coaches won't agree to a cap on their salary. If imposed by NCAA or AD's..
it would be an antitrust violation and would be illegal. The NCAA tried that with the salary restricted basketball coach, were sued and lost to the tune of nearly $54m to the affected coaches. Any limits imposed on NIL earning would similarly be illegal. US pro sports have salary controls in place that are collectively bargained between players unions and ownership. There is (currently) no such representation for NCAA players.
