They've been good owners.
They've spent money wisely although they have more playoff failures than successes. It could be argued that Scherzer is one of the best free agent signings in baseball history. I didn't understand signing Werth when they did, but his presence in the clubhouse seemed to be of great value. I agree wholeheartedly with the decision to let Harper walk. They're being a bit more proactive with keeping Soto, but it's still going to be tough to resign him.
