You talking trash on GC?

Maybe I misunderstood but that is crazy if you are. Please tell me you are not. The only thing I associate with GC is credibility and really well put together arguments.

I mean … so what…

One on one drill. Means absolutely close to nothing.

No chance

Best athletes with the most all around skill are bball players.

Hansberry and Schutt

Both of these young men had frustrating days at UVA as can be the case when you give it your all. Sometimes you get banged up and sometimes your shot doesn’t fall. I haven’t attended a lot of games but I attended the UVA game and although we lost I was shocked by the physicality of the modern college game. UVA is really good and our guys are as well. It was quality entertainment. I grabbed Hansberry and Schutt so my son could meet them and they really gave him a great moment even though I am sure they were frustrated. I never felt any of that and I am forever in their debt. It meant a lot to me and my son and I think who they are is going to matter next year. Thank you #2 and #13, it means a lot to a young guy like my son and an old guy like me.

Box and one

Only works with a player who is ball dominant. Hidalgo is a complete player. She would eat us alive. That defense typically doesn’t work above high school.

Beg to differ

Carson Beck reportedly cost 4 million. Miami getting a serious ROI. Way better than a card purchase. Also why be so pejorative? Not a good way to analyze a financial decision.

That is funny

True in both cars and on a football field.

I have said it before

He is an elite talent. In the right system he will do great. Hope he grows out of bad decision making. Watch that man run and you see why good coaches want him.

I think just like the NFL

Experience can be a lagging indicator. In the case of Franklin and especially in the case of PSU guys the staff will have an incredible evaluation. Experience costs a lot of money. Better to look for value. I dig our approach… it is the same as Indiana’s in year 1 and 2. Now they are so flush in cash they can take more risk. We will get there. I love where we are.

I just want 1

The 2 will just waste money that should be spent on OL / DL. Take the risk that QB 1 stays un injured because you will have bought very little in QB2. Use the existing QBs as #2 because you will have them at a discount.

Agreed

Need to have a plug and play starter as well as competition. I like the PSU guy and him being a potential 3 year starter will be a good problem to have. Good news is Franklin and OBrien should have a great evaluation to make the call.

Not to mention…

The hangover that occurs after massive disappointment. Combine that with then flying across the country and playing and you have a recipe for a bit of a spiral.

No way

That is an incredible claim. No way that is true.

Huh?

These are all current players who graduated. What am I missing?

Young coach

I am sure he is improving all of the team.

Important Win

Don’t get caught up in team names. Down that many players against a better than average team. Very important win.

I prefer QBs who default to accuracy.

Very difficult to coach in game time accuracy I believe.

Don’t confuse us not knowing

As being the same as Franklin not knowing. We are just message boarders.

Exactly - they are cutting off nose to spite face.

The money dries up when the illusion of chance / combined with an equal structural opportunity disappears.

No eligibility, right?

Hard to keep track these days with all of the lawsuits.

Not to argue

As I seriously don’t know. I always assumed it was money. You seem to either know or believe it is something else - are you able to share?

Who cares. Buck the heck up.

National media? LOL. AI driven drivel to make you look and make money? Worry about what you believe. I may disagree, but I can respect your individual belief

Why?

Being a HC has very little to do with being a DC. Entirely different skill sets. Who woul know better than Franklin?

Who knows better than Franklin?

Have to trust a coach to make his own decisions until you don’t. We are big time now - big time coaches do whatever they want whenever they want. Whatever he decides I am good with.

Different answer in each case

Some combination of QB play, better university and alumni support relative to peers, schedule and deep reliance on transfer portal suggesting far more money and probably some coaching.

Instantly good

The sausage is made. They will be good. Great hire.
