but I feel CMD threw down the gauntlet at the BOV meeting, if we want to be successful, she needs a little help. Ignoring her would possibly lead to a big disappointment

Pick up with the new staff.

Exactly. Duffy is proving to players that she can do what she says she can
do. Now players are like, "I like what I hear *and what I see."
Only the most pessimistic people thought Duffy couldn't recruit. But she clearly can coach. And now we see she clearly can recruit.
I'm a little concerned about the balance on this roster. But we'll see what Duffy can do with it. And only a fool would bet against her.

#33. It seems to me that we are in that same position. It would be good, outwardly speaking, to be getting Top 30 kids.

What does this even mean? It took Kenny Brooks 6 years to get that #33
recruit. And it took him an extra year after that to make the NCAA.
And it's taken Duffy only 2 years to make the NCAA (note she did it without a #33 recruit). And now she's got a recruit.
The trajectory for Duffy is night and day better than that for Brooks. Not even close to "same old" as you're making it.

To do with the ability of either coach to recruit it’s just a statement about the numbers the ratings

There’s a lot of time for LSU and some of the others can start working on those kids but that is a good sign. We are getting interest from players of that level and that’s a good thing.

There really aren’t many wbb commitments flips. Barring a coaching change, or a G5 kid Blowing up with P5 offers. Last year was the most I could remember and the majority of flips came from Tennessee lol. Only other one that wasnt a coaching change was Clem lost a 5* I think.

And VT is not $$ heavy to be able to do much to sweeten the pot for players talking about flipping

Which VTWBB recruits have flipped? Name them, or you're just being a drama
queen.
There is zero reason to think that a player who committed to VT under Duffy will flip.

Some players never even made it past the first semester.
