Can I complain about ACCN for a sec?
First, props to UVA for winning and for their fans showing up.
Now if I listen to ACCN then it seems like the entire 11k fans (new record for them) were Hoos. But from what the cameras showed, I’d guess at least 40% of that crowd was Hokies. Can anyone here who was at the game provide their perspective?
It was just weird to me how the sellout was discussed. But this is just me distracting myself with trivial stuff while trying not to worry about Liz. Hope she is ok for her sake and her future.

It was unbelievable walking to the arena. Hokie fans absolutely everywhere.
Once inside, I figured about 50/50, maybe weighted to VT some. But prior to the game, outside, I was telling people, "I wonder how the Hoos feel when an opposing teams has more fans than they do."
Very disappointed in the officiating. Straight-up game, VT wins. (Will somebody please instruct the refs what traveling is!

...behind baskets. Hokies higher up, but much louder outside and inside JPJ. If it was sold out, they sure had a ton of no shows, too.

Upper levels were almost entirely Hokies. Lower levels (reserved seats) were mostly Hoos. But Hokies outnumbered Hoos in the GA lower level seats.
It was a great atmosphere all around, but really deflating between the loss, and seeing Kitley injured.

which might not have come across on TV. I would guess about 55% to 60% good girls fans.

It was probably 60/40 UVA/Hokies. Maybe, maybe 50/50

It’s the most Hokies I’ve ever seen in JPJ. Praying for Liz- I was encouraged when she walked off and then when she came back - but then I saw her being helped off after the game - maybe because it looked like the hoos were gonna storm the court. Maybe trying to protect her. Georgia is Georgia - one of the best we’ve ever had - I was impressed by wenzel coming off bench - fast. Anyway, did not really care bout loss - like Kenny - mind was elsewhere - Go Hokies

Yes the commentators did better than the studio.

personally enjoy watching games with NO talking heads, and only hear fans and the home announcer. Much more enjoyable, saves the network money!!

Raycom but only because they carry Olympic sports as well. Technical Quality is only a notch above.

I just switched the channel after the end of the game. So, they can talk to the air for all I care. Most of them tend to spouting bs just to say something while live on the tube. Sometimes I wonder if they are paid by the word.
