The effect of Franklin and VT’s step up
In money on recruiting has been surreal. I cannot remember ever looking more forward to a spring game and start of a season to see what we have. I am so ready to put the past decade or so behind us.

Rewatched press conference

Very impressed
Before this press conference, did not know much about Coach Franklin’s personality - leader - good communicator - painted a vision clearly - when question asked about GM - answer all depends on what coach wants or who he hires to surround him - coach is running this and not the AD - im here for it - let’s go!!!!

Almost forgot about this guy
Article mentions taking calls and zooms about jobs. He will land somewhere, but I do not recall him coming up as a top candidate for any of the numerous openings. I think he will be grateful for an opportunity after the hazing scandal. He was mentioned in early candidate lists for VT, Like Franklin - someone that can be hired without waiting until season end.

I was thinking same thing
But I wonder if schools will have less patience w coaches in this new NIL/portal era - nearly an entire team can be changed each yr. Why not the coach? There will def be some coaches off our board as these higher level program jobs open ( penn state now Florida - stay tuned for more - Auburn? Florida State? Clemson? South Carolina? My question - would tech want to pick up one of these coaches (I lean no) w exception for Shane - or go w an a rising coach coming off success after success ie Chesney

We have a long history going back to 1912 - like it or not - we have a similar culture and love of football - we have a real football rivalry - game day is crazy and has a feel that rival SEC - UVA - sorry - yawn - until they win and their fans show up - I just don’t care

I think 2 is def possibility
Miami goes undefeated (the ball keeps bouncing their way TIC) and lose the ACCCG then I think 2
