The offense can't disappear against good pitching teams

Agreed, and I get that, Of course, that can be said about any game
every win or loss is about a degree, right. FSU can say they could have tacked on more runs. Duke could say they were this close to getting Abromavage's catch over the fence. None of that changes that we beat Duke 5-0 or that we lost 2-1. The positive spin is that we can win different ways....close, low-scoring games, with more offense, without a HR in the game, etc. If we can avoid too many walks in bunches, we can play with anyone.

Seems we have trouble with good change up pitchers.

Everybody does. See 'bama's one run versus Kavan today.

They had as much trouble with our pitchers as we had with theirs. 2-1 game

They scored two runs. Our pitching was fine. We just couldn’t score.

It's not the walks, it never is. They're merely the gift of a single base
hit. It's what happens after the walk (and the single) that matters. 2-1 game. Any player on both teams could have made it a different score and that includes putting the game in our favor.
