are already sending a message, we don't want VT at home in the regionals! We beat UNC three straight and they are #48 in the RPI, so if we sweep Syracuse at 135 then does that mean we will move down more than 1 spot? I hope the committee does use KPI and DSR in their decision making for hosting. How does Stanford, who beat the worst team in the ACC move up four spots, and we drop 1 spot? Still too subjective, and favorites are picked every year, most being SEC. So I guess sweeping three SEC schools in SC, GA, and Auburn means nothing, but it would if they all swept us? Total BS!

dragging us down. And UGA got swept by Oklahoma. Which is no shame but still cost them some spots in math polls. (They dropped 5 in Massey).

with them. Our loss to Liberty is why we dropped this week. We were sitting at 10 prior to GT series. If we had not swept the SEC schools we would be lower. So, they do mean something. Only Georgia is ahead of us in the RPI. The SEC has won 84% of its non-conference games. The ACC has won 68%. That's why the SEC schools come out so well in polls. I am sure somewhere has a head-to-head record of ACC vs. SEC this year. That would be interesting to know.
I don't think the "powers" are influencing these picks. If we were 3-1 against GT and Liberty instead of 1-3 I think we would still be in a good position to host.

That's actually where it was before the UNC series. Strength of schedule dropped one spot to #70.
