One walk, one bad toss, one tater. 3 runs and that's the ball game.

Lots of excuses for the losses. Hitting had to be the biggest.

Clem had way better at bats. Our team at the plate seemed very impatient.

The hits weren't bunched up like usual.

Softball Gods were on a mission tonight. And not in a good way.
The more I recap the game, the more lucky I realize they were. Literally anything 50/50 went their way. In the field, at the plate, on the base paths, you name it. Clemson needed it, the Gods handed it to them. It’s exceedingly unlikely that level of good fortune will recur. We need to tighten some things up for sure, but if we can just get half of the random 50/50 events, I like our chances.

8 hole hitter, .241 batting average, and 1
Homer in the first 37 games. Just one of those things where you shake your head. Probably she will not hurt us the rest of the series.

One elite defensive play by Clemson as well. That scores 2 if she misses.

It's a 7 inning game so it's never just one thing. That may have been the
best game the Clemson pitcher ever pitched.

I agree, just hate to drop the first one. I was not expecting a sweep but
losing game 1 puts all the pressure on them.

Not really. Clemson scored one run aside from the dinger following her E
Sorry that wasn’t a hit; she bobbled the ball trying to get it out of her glove

That's possible because she threw one wild to first later.

Her drop to end the 1st was sweet. I dont recall another that effective.
