Great facility and beats the heck out of Boston.

Tournament Format: 12-team bracket (Single elimination; Seeds 1-4 receive a first-round bye)

If I’m a VT softball fan in the Burg or the Nova area, I am going to this, regardless of whether VT ends up having a good shot to win it or not. It won’t be this close to us again til it’s actually in B’Burg. Unless of course WF eventually fields a team. But it might be 2045 before they’d actually get to host at this rate, given the size of the conference. You have to wonder if the tournament will need to rotate out to Cal or Stanford one of these years (obviously they will
have new stadiums).

Yes they’ll have new stadiums, but can the ACC tell 10-11 members to fly that far and may only play 1 game? Yeah everyone flew up to Boston, but that’s different than going west 3 time zones.

I'm hearing next year is at Clemson, but I don't know after that.
Flying to the west coast is asking a lot - especially since the NCAA tournament would start the following week.
