Yes her mom is awesome!!
First couple trips to OKC they had “Adventures of Smokey” on her social media taking a stuffed animal along for the ride. Taking pictures with cops, the bus driver, exploring Buc-ee’s, etc. very cute!! Little sad it didn’t happen a couple weeks ago.

But were any of them contacted in the middle of a season while at VT?
Everyone has transfers. To say all of those were tampered with while playing at VT isn’t true. Some needed a fresh start, Amoore left because her coach did, not because UK contacted her behind our backs.
Texas Tech was contacting players in the middle of last spring season and signing them, that’s tampering.

If you think the SEC were the only ones cheating, agree to disagree
The SEC did not have the market cornered on cheating. Plus even then it was only football and basketball where the cheating was happening.
So I guess the first VT athlete who leaves for a bag that was offered while playing for the Hokies, we will just say it’s fair and move on, got it.
This has definitely leveled the playing field, but just because something is semi legal/questionable/etc doesn’t make it right.

It’s not the money spent, it’s the tampering/cheating
I’m all for players making $$ and if schools don’t want to pay their stars that’s on them. But enter the portal 1st and then get your bag.
How would everyone here feel if another school poached Cori McMillan, Keely, one of the Emma’s in the middle of a season? You wouldn’t like them either.

Taylor Pannell has another year of eligibility at 3B. So unless there is a position change in the cards, but I wouldn’t put it past TTU. Wonder if Beachum is SEC bound.

UT went first and TTU second. If TTU went 1st and UT second, very interesting if things go down the same way.

I do like Lee, but he doesn’t know if Weekly is lying
The only people who know are Pannell, Weekly and possibly a few people around them in line. So a coach is specifically looking for a specific player and premeditatedly thought this is what I’m going to say in the handshake line in a walkoff environment. Not much time from the HR to the line. If it was a blowout, sure you have time to think but in the moment, I have serious doubts.
I have known the Weekly’s for 21 years now. Can they come across as jerks and other bad words, absolutely. Have I seen them mellow in their time here and not be as intense, also absolutely. Based on the players exit and what her father had to say, I tend to trust Karen more in this instance. Will be curious if TTU sends her to the press conference after the game with UCLA because it’ll probably come up.

It was reported they signed her in the middle of UT’s season last spring
And her dad had some not so nice things to say on social media directed at UT last year, so the UT fans enjoyed giving them an L today. Saw lots of posts about her father Brandon today and after the game.
She went into a terrible slump last year, guilty conscience after agreeing to a deal at another school?

I doubt that any team has won it all on their first trip. Pressure in OKC is completely different than Regionals and Supers.

How badly does OU stomp State tomorrow?
I hope it doesn't happen but feel like that will wake them up. During the UT vs UGA game the pitches were perfectly timed. Watched a pitch of the UT game then turned my head to see pitches from Norman on TV.

I can guarantee the UT person is legit and unbiased
We went to grad school together and friends ever since. Her dad was a long time football coach with experience in the SEC and ACC before retiring. VT would be lucky to have her in their administration is all I can say.
