have the most impact based on what you have seen so far, including the last year of HS?

I believe that Cori McMillian, the transfer from Radford, will make a real impact. Coach Pete has called her a "five tool player" on three different occasions. A five-tool player is a player that excels at all five of the major physical tools (Speed, Throwing, Fielding, Hitting for Average, and Hitting for Power. I also think left-handed pitcher Cassie Grizzard (transfer from Louisville) will be an impact player. She has the absolute best change-up I've ever seen and Pete actually said the same thing on a call last week. The freshmen are a tougher question - just because they are freshmen. Other than the two scrimmages on Friday and Saturday, I haven't seen them in action this spring. I did see them in the fall and the group is really impressive. During a segment on Fast Pitch News, Coach D'Amour called out Michelle Chatfield (utility player), Emily LeGette (first base), Annika Rohs (shortstop) , and Lyla Blackwell (outfield) as freshmen that have been impressive. I am really anxious to see them in live action this month. Media day is Wednesday so there may be more information then. Stay tuned. If you include VT coordinated events like Giving Day and Triumph Together when I served as an ambassador and simply provided a link for folks to give, the total is over $253,000. The TSL community has some of the most generous people that exist anywhere and both myself and the softball program are so very thankful for that amazing generosity. It has made a tremendous difference in the program. The the first auction happened because Coach D'Amour told me that the ladies were wearing 5-year old socks!!!! Well, I think we have upgraded those socks...lol We will have some cool things happening this year as well - please keep an eye out and give if you can. Opening day is less than two weeks away. Let's Go Hokies!!!!
