So, does anyone know how to determine how much money
per sport has been donated during this “Give-A-Thon?”
With each successive Giving Day(s) event it appears the transparency and user-friendliness of the system gets worse when it comes to tracking the amount of funds donated by sport. It’s become a “hide and seek” event wrt the $ numbers.

Funny, I was trying to see today how much money had been donated to softball via "Giving Day" and as far as I could tell, one cannot see a specific sport breakdown. All I could see was what the total to "athletics" is. I am pretty sure in years past, one could look at sport specific donors/tallies. It is utterly ridiculous how this university still struggles with all issues related to donating money ie ease of doing it, transparency, etc.

for the different sports in terms of number of donations but you can't see the total $ donated to that particular sport.

In a team sport. Overall more fans want that for the school and see the sports where they believe we’re closest as the most important investments

Babcock and crew are suppressing info again.
It’s a shame that it’s gotten to where you need a FOIA to get info out of them.

Back to the topic at hand
Maybe somebody needs to put the squeeze on Whit.

No alumni directly is published anymore
No listing of major donors for athletics or academics
No listing of who's in Ut Prosim (the honor society for major donors)
Chapters can't get email lists of alumni in their areas.

... was set already.
Unfortunately, Sands isn't going to do anything with Whit. Whit is good as long as Sands is in office.

... in a long line of bad decisions, non decisions, and total opaque covering of the athletic department. And that doesn't count what has been done to the football program by WB and JB.

for athletics only by approximately $800k to $900k.
The difference is probably HSF, and a few other categories. My point here is I wish they wouldn't half-ass the reporting. It's not a good look and implies the school/athletic department is suppressing info.
If you aren't interested, so be it. A fair number of others are interested though. The lack of transparency since Babcock was hired is quite concerning to a lot of folks.

She has experience as a professional fundraiser and has sent several e-mails and responded to a couple of posts. No definitive answers gets though. “I’ll check into it for you.”
