Coach Pete was talking today about going to California and traveling out there a day early because of the time adjustment and then coming back to Blacksburg to play Florida State So it got me to thinking about the two new west coast teams and how they were going to handle the travel since each of them would have four away series and therefore at least two east coast trips. It turns out that both have east coast trips during breaks in the academic schedule and stay for two weeks in which they knock out two away series. They also travel east the week before the ACC tournament and then stay there for two weeks. Here is Stanford's: Fri., March 21 - Sun., March 23; at Notre Dame Tues., March 25: at Kentucky Fri., Mar 28 - Sun., Mar 30: @ Virginia Tech It looks like Stanford is on the quarter system and those dates are between quarters Fri., May 2 - Sun., May 4: @ Boston College Wed., May 7 - Sat., May 10: ACC tournament at Boston College Here is California's east coast schedule: Fri., March 21 - Sun., March 23 @ UVA Wed., March 26: @ JMU's Fri., Mar 28 - Sun., Mar 30: @ Clemson Cal is on spring break Monday, March 24–Friday, March 28, 2025 Fri., May 2 - Sun., May 4: @ Syracuse Wed., May 7 - Sat., May 10: ACC tournament at Boston College California fourth away series is at Stanford and Stanford's fourth series is at Georgia Tech in a one-off Feb. 28 - March 2. That's probably as good as it could be for their student-athletes.
