against the SEC every chance I get. I’ll root for every team in the country playing an SEC team unless them winning a particular contest helps VT at that time. That goes for all the teams people hate in the ACC. I love it when the SEC underperforms. But, I am a stat guy. The data says what it says. I try NOT to mix emotion and partisanship in with opinions that have data behind them. I try NOT to spin bits of information to help my case if it contradicts the bigger picture. Not my nature. Some prefer finding l things to ding the “SEC is the best” because they don’t like the SEC. (Some envy behind that). That’s OK. Lots of people debate at that level. To me, that’s like being an attorney who always takes their client’s side in a court case and poke holes in the other sides case regardless of what they really believe. Nothing wrong with that. If this was a shared board with SEC people I might do the some of the same. I do that with some SEC friends because they annoy me. If it comes down to judgment in an absence of information, I will bias towards VT and the ACC. But, fair question and I hope my answer makes sense. I do enjoy debating as I think you do too or we wouldn’t spend so much time in here. And I share the passion for VT sports.
