Yeah. We also couldn’t control the flu bug in 2nd week of Feb

When we also weren’t able to practice outside at all. MSU had beaten Clemson the week prior and was receiving votes in Top 25 poll at the time. Teams change during the season. There are circumstances beyond numbers. Yeah we lost to LU…but now they’re in the drivers seat in their conference tourney…Bama gets a pass for losing to Samford; OU a pass for losing to Long Beach. We won’t get a pass for losing to a team who was good early but crashed and burned later, nor will they consider the team had the flu, I’m sure. I guarantee you if the top SEC teams lost a game or 2 early because of a flu bug EVERYONE would hear about it as their excuse. Are these excuses? Yep. Well the SEC is the KING of excuses.

The actual NCAA RPI report still has VT at #20, Ole Miss at #21

I think the top 16 in the RPI would be the hosts ....

Ole Miss being ahead of VT is ridiculous. They have lost 23 games and have

There really aren’t any mediocre teams in the SEC in a national context.
nkhooch 05/07/26 08:33 AM ET
If we were .500 in the SEC we’d be top 12
hokiepro 05/07/26 09:23 AM ET
No offense taken. I don’t love the SEC. Why do you think that? I root

Ok fair but I’m just saying SEC has plenty of apologists

I am not an apologist for the SEC. I am just looking at the stats and

I disagree with that, the national narrative is that the SEC is dominant

Did you see Hokietony’s earlier comment? Kentucky was 1-23 in

When it comes to OOC schedules how hard do the SEC teams schedule?

Interesting. You state something. I refute it with supporting info and now

Whether you believe the SEC is the best or not the original argument for me

Yep, in Massey, SEC 9 of top 13, VT is 16 for reference.**

You’re sorta saying the same thing. SoS is FAR over valued in

Right, what you can control is losses to MSU, Charlotte and Liberty. And
