Surprised UVA baseball does not rank higher

John Grisham has provided Cavaliers substantial support. About two decades ago, as UVa contemplated eliminating baseball as a varsity sport for budget reasons, Grisham quietly helped the Cavaliers build Davenport Field, which opened in 2002, with lights, six skyboxes and an on-site locker room. By 2009, the Cavs had made their first College World Series. In 2015, they won it. Back in the 1990s, Grisham made similar contributions to the baseball program at his alma mater, Mississippi State, and the Bulldogs since have made six CWS appearances.
