There are reports that Memphis are continuing their
talks with the PAC. Apparently, the PAC, since Gonzaga came on board, are now in discussions for a media contract. This isn't over by a long shot.

What isn't over? Define "over". Adding Memphis, etc seems like "over" to me

The AD Memphis mentioned previous offer was not enough
He basically mentioned 1) payout from American 25 million (can PAC 12 help>) 2) current revenue structure from PAC 12 not that far from th American considering the extra costs that Memphis will incur. 3) Also, Memphis looking for increases in rights for them. all part of the narrative...

He said.......
the AAC EXIT FEE of $25 million and the PAC 12's offer of only $ 2.5 million to help made the numbers not work in terms of recovering costs and then the additional costs made it a bigger hurdle. It was NOT a payout from the American.

I believe you sre correct, but it just shows that it's a negotiation. If
the money is there, then Memphis will make the jump. The PAC just has to take one (Memphis), and the others will follow. Kinda like Oregon and Washington to the Big 10. If Memphis goes, Tulane and UTSA will follow (opinion). I think it ups the stakes for some like USF, as the first (two?) get the real deal, and the others end up scrambling to not be left behind, and end up with partial deals. Tulane, Memphis, and USF are likely moving together from what I hear.

I see the articles as well, and it only takes one to break the dam.

Yes, like Colorado and the B12.
PAC will eventually offer Memphis the 25 Million and the others will follow for less. Memphis is worth it to get the whole package.

not talking about articles, spoke to someone at Tulane. we'll see.

You are right I believe.......
everything is a negotiation. I just needed to clarify the latest bit of misinformation from our own Iraqi Minister of Disinformation.
