Michigan Fans want out of the Big Ten
Check out the comments at the Michigan site below. Almost all are tired of the Big Ten and want out. Furthermore they plan to stick it to them out the door. Very telling.

Lawyers, fans, Regents. They don't really care about the extra money at this point. Sick of being mistreated and are lawyering up. See link.

No way they would leave the Big 10 over this. Talk about overreaction at it's highest.
And in full disclosure "Go Bucks!". :-)

if the Big 10 “blowed up real good” like a guest on The Fishin Musician. I think cooler heads prevail though.

with their brand, they could just say, "who's with me?". form a league from scratch with ND, PSU and literally anyone they want to invite.

Crazy talk. But I'll play along. Would the ACC give UM the ND deal?
ND and Michigan could also play each other also. That would be a 6th game for both. Each would only have to schedule 6 games then.
Of course it's crazy talk because all that would be given up to leave the B1G. A century plus of tradition and rivalries in all sports, the Big Ten Research Consortium/Academic Alliance (or whatever it's called), etc.
Plus, the buyout would be insane I imagine.
But what gets me nearly as much is the defense of Harbaugh, a coach that frankly has underperformed since he has been there. Sure, they are in a good place now, but if you remember the hype when he was hired, you'd a thought they'd have 3 more nattys by now.

Where are they going to go?
ACC - Big drop in TV revenue.
SEC - Too south for them and they would feel out of place in SEC culture.
Big 12 - Like ACC, a big drop in TV revenue. Plus the academic snobs wouldn't like it.
Football Independent? - That would be disastrous in so many ways.
After the university and fans calm down, they'll all be chanting "Big Ten! Big Ten!".

So it might not be such a big drop in finances. But Michigan is not leaving the Big ten. That's just crazy talk. They're just throwing a tantrum. Ignore them. They will gradually stop.

get an independent offer like ND, and a tie in with the ACC, again, like ND.
Come to think of it, it would really piss of FSU, but at the same time, bring in more revenue.
Do it ACC - Make Michigan an offer they can not refuse.

We would be at 20 with that. I'd still like to get WVU, but probably never will with all that.
It's a pipe dream, but WOW.
