Notre Dame is not realistic
would poaching WVU and Cinci be realistic and would it save the conference If not, would brokering deals with the SEC B1G & Big XII to find homes for the majority of schools, be a possibility Not sure if the SEC wants Clem @ Fla St but I think the BIG XII would jump to take them.Do a package deal and add GT Louisville & Pitt With VPI & NCSU to the SEC UVA & UNC to the B1G Duke Wake and BC to the Big East If adding teams isn’t going to save it, blow it up now and move on

Don't see WVU and Cincy adding much.

WVU has no interest in joining ACC

It’ll be interesting to see what all happens in 5-7 years.

They have a GOR, and Cal and Stanford are way better than Cinci and Wvu
Regardless. Ranking the top acc and pac 12 (without usc and ucla) values, my opinion, something like this: 1. Fsu 2. Clemson 3. Washington 4. Oregon 5. Miami 6. Unc 7. Virginia tech 8. Stanford 9. Cal 10. Gt 11. NC state 12. Louisville Etc WVU and Cincinnati would be way below Pitt, uva, cute, Duke.

I know some won't agree but UNC is WAY up that list as a school
I know football is mediocre right now, but they have a lot to offer as a brand and in a state with growing population, more than Washington for sure

Agree, Cinci is crap. 1 fantastic year. I live in Cinci and not impressed
with fan base, facilities, academics. Weak campus environment. large % of students live away from the school and or with parents. would take West Virginia over UC..

Big XII schools just signed off on a new GOR, so none are options now.

In that case no teams out there right will save the confence now
Find a way to blow it up now and start making big money sooner rather than later If the SEC BIG XII & B1G are all going to 20+ teams, most of the ACC will land in one of them anyway

No one will vote to end the ACC just to go to the Big12. So you will need
to find homes in the SEC or Big10 for at least 8 ACC teams. Hard to find 8 teams in the ACC that would get the invite.

Don't be so sure of that, If Oregon State and Washington State
could have gone to the B12 a year before the PAC disintegrated. They stuck it out with the bigger brands in the PAC - why? At the time, reports were that the PAC would get a good contract, and all would be good - they were strung along. Looking at Pitt, Cuse, Duke - just to name a few, are watching this very closely, and none of them want to the the next OSU and Washington State. So when you say "no one" with 1/2 of the conference trying to leave, and you have article after article saying you do not make the cut for the BIG or SEC - they may not even look back as they go for stability, a premier basketball conference, and a WAY underestimated football conference. ** Edited by Big12 guy at 8/18/2023, 7:39:21 PM

There's one big difference. They knew that Oregon and Washington could
Leave at any time. The grant of rights in the ACC prevents that. There's no real indication that anybody's leaving for the next decade. At least, nobody leaving unless enough schools vote to dissolve the conference. So as long as they don't vote to dissolve the conference, they can maintain status quo.

If everything comes back to the grant of rights, the ACC is toast. Its
just a matter of time.

Does that make it The Atlantic Toast Conference?
wwhokie1 wwhokie1
Yep, just a matter of time. Unless they can find a way to bring in another
20 to 30 million per school. And expansion with Big 12, PAC4, or G5 schools will not accomplish that.
B

True that, except there are G5 schools, that could make you whole, but
I digress, the ACC would NEVER stop to he B12 or G5 level - and it will be your demise IMHO.
