I'm not interested in NFL lite.
Was Dan Wetzel's book 'Death to the BCS' the beginning of the end of college football as we know it? I thought the playoff would be great for FBS. But all it did was unleash the greed.

Oddly, college football was better before the BCS. Split national champs
was a problem of course. But if I could go back to the days of small conferences and having juice in New Year's Day, I'd love it.

On YouTube the other day. Ah to have those simple times back. Just happy to be in a solid and in my opinion under-rated conference. Saturdays used to just hit different back then.

I used to hate the fact that on NYD we would be forced to watch, say, a Big 10 team vs. a Pac 10 team in the Rose Bowl, when one of them was ranked #2 but because of bowl tie ins couldn't play #1. So I liked getting rid of bowl conference requirements for the MNC. But of course it couldn't stop there.

I miss the traditional Rose Bowl🌹.
Real Big Ten Champ vs. Real Pac-10 Champ.
Even when the Rose Bowl hosted the BCS title game, it wasn't the same. I remember watching Miami play there in the days when they were "back" and it just didn't seem right.
But you have a valid point.
Maybe a plus-1 game after New Year's would have done the trick. It would still keep the magic of NYD alive if it impacted the plus-1 selections.

A bowl that locked two conferences, excluding our conference had zero interest for me. Would have liked it better if it was just the Pac-10 playing teams from all conferences.
Little did they know locking the B1X into that bowl would eventually lead to the death of their conference.

Same here. This was the last straw for me
Sure some it is because VT hasn’t been relevant for a decade but what has happened over the last two years culminating in yesterday…I’m done. No respect or care for transitional rivalries or student athletes.

to involve some kind of boycott/defunding the P2 until they agree to close their ranks to future expansions.
