It’s time for the commissioner to blow the lid off. He need to grab his jank and go 20. Gobble up PAC 12 OR, WASH, WSU, STAN, CAL, hold a spot for ND. Push for CFP 12. The ACC would have 2-5 on any given Year in the CFP. I would take the beefed up ACCN to ESPN and NBC and see If the revenue needle move then he will be the hero. If it doesn’t at least he went down fighting. Now is not the time to be a spectator. Not many teams left with good tv numbers. If he waits , the only teams with viewers under 1M per game. Power move now before it’s to late. And drop all the merger talks with the PAC12. Anything over 20 teams is asking for trouble. And I would definitely do a weighted revenue distribution based on performance and viewership. It’s all about money so go big.

I've been saying the last couple years that ND and USC could combine to bring the East and the West together in a conference that would rival the B1G and the SEC, but be in their own image. But they didn't. Now USC has sold out to the B1G and now everyone is sitting around waiting for Notre Dame to tell them what they've be telling them for years--that they want to remain independent. The B1G thinks they can just keep stacking the Benjamins and ND will come. USC had its price, they think Notre Dame will too. Side note: solutions for the ACC and the rest to the Left Out 3 need to be greater than mergers.

ND is never going to go for that. secondly adding some of those teams will definitely NOT increase the money per school Every says the conferences are going to go to 24, but i am not sure tht i is viable, because as you add more teams you get to a point of diminishing returns. there simply aren't enough "name" teams to guarantee their addition gets everyone more money and that could change our GoR so teams could leave. and if given the chance the would

Read that somewhere. If true, I can think of several schools that wouldn't sign it. ACC is screwed either way. Also, a few $million$ wouldn't make any difference, when it's estimated that each school in the P2 will be pulling in $100 million a year by the end of the decade.

Adding members that were voted in, unless you had the dumbest attorney in the world review them before signature, should not void the GOR. In this case a minimum of 15 Attorneys looked at it (1 per school) and at least 14 want to add Notre Dame, so I can’t see any way that adding teams voids the GOR.

P2 will get in revenue BUT, an ACC with those schools I named added to the current members….I would at least think somewhere around the $65-70 (perhaps this is a low number) million per year. That would solidify the conference as the 3rd strongest ** Edited by hoodat at 7/8/2022, 4:05:09 PM
