also the position is HUGE
I know folks just fluff on NFL stuff, but these francises are billion dollar institiutions . Chicago is ready to build a new entertainment and stadium complex. He will be negotiating the development, and manage the entire franchise in the 3rd largest city in America. The family who owns the bears do not micromanage the team and hires a person who they trust as the one who will take care of the Bears. He will be the prime guy for the Bears and an NFL franchise. He got one boss the family where he has 16 bosses in the Big 10

he's already done his job
screwing up college athletics- time to move on.

Maybe he'll take Sankey with him.
The two of them combined would give the Bears two of the greatest backstabbers of all time.

Seems odd to me since it’s s such a huge conference, but maybe he doesn’t
like all of the travel from home. I would guess he would have a more normal personal life by just being with one team, versus 16 and probably more in the future. ** Edited by Stech at 12/29/2022, 10:53:49 PM

Warren is an NFL guy
He came from the NFL. He may have big goals involving the NFL. The Bears can pay him much, much more than the Big Ten. He would be involved in the stadium project and a potential Super Bowl bid. He may want NFL president on his resume to someday try for the NFL Commissioner's job. (He may also dislike having 14..soon 16.."bosses" and the lack of consensus among them for his big expansion dreams) ** Edited by TerryD at 12/30/2022, 11:14:46 AM

Best point is on the boss, people don’t leave jobs, they leave bosses and
in this case, like you said 16 bosses. That said, I would not be surprised to see him stay, and just get a raise out of it. I don’t think he wants to stop at USC and UCLA, I see 4 more PAC schools coming sooner rather than later. This just might give him the leverage he needs to it done. 🤷‍♂️ ** Edited by Stech at 12/30/2022, 7:44:08 PM

Maybe Tulane gave him a nice Going Away Party.
You and I have said the ACC should consider Tulane. After Today in the Cotton Bowl I still think so.

This was mentioned earlier this year.
Seems like this has been an ongoing event. I would think the Bears should be able to do better, but who knows.
