I don't understand this with ND and Expansion voteThe

the issue for ND is they have a contract for 5 games a year for ACC game through 2036. If they have stanford, their position is great, we will drop one of the other ACC teams and stanford will be out ACC game. WRONG, and they just need to tell ND. 1. we will select the ACC Schools exclusive to stanford and they will be your acc designated schools. PERIOD 2. iF you dont, you are in violation of the Grant of Rights for ACC as membership, and we keep your shares as well. or take us to court... BRING IT ON. 3. IF ACC had the votes without ND, can they also put in the directive specifically that Stanford will not be one of the designated schools that counts in the 5 schools or no 2, ACC designates what schools ACC plays and ACC is done and guess what Stanford is not part of the rotation, so you can either drop Stanford and move on. 4. Also, with USC moving to the Big 10 their schedule gets difficult. With Big 10 and ND get dicey, maybe they say ND you are not part of the Big 10 thing, so you have arrange the USC thang around the Big 10 schedule not visa.versa. ND you are squeezed.

On Notre Dame 🍀.

We should hold firm on slightly more than the 6th game.
Truthahn 08/11/23 11:06 AM ET
Agree on your first three points, especially #3
cburgroop 08/11/23 12:35 PM ET
Hard pass. I don't want to do anything more for ND. Done with the favors
hokiesrule98 08/11/23 11:37 AM ET
When you say "we should hold firm" on a 6th game, it that the fans
Big12 guy 08/11/23 11:13 AM ET
I haven't followed the negotiations.
Truthahn 08/11/23 11:26 AM ET
If this is about saving the CA teams, I agree with you, the ACC
Big12 guy 08/11/23 11:47 AM ET
ND’s whole play in this is self serving…

It always has been
Millpoint 08/11/23 11:01 AM ET
The AAC would give ND the same deal as the ACC, maybe the Big12 would too**

In a New York minute. **

Notre Dame is looking to keep the ACC alive after it's top football
wwhokie1 08/11/23 10:01 AM ET
The end game for ND is to be in the group we now call

This could be HUGE for ESPN
obguthr 08/11/23 09:09 AM ET
I don’t know why Notre Dame has any interest in saving Cal or Stanford.
HolidayInnHokie 08/10/23 11:39 PM ET
ND wants to save independence, not Stanford or Cal
TerryD 08/11/23 05:37 AM ET
Well said. Notre dame is acting to protect its independence
Hokie1992 08/11/23 06:50 AM ET
That’s fine, but it needs to be a win-win, add them, but ND needs 6th game,
Stech 08/11/23 07:18 AM ET
We are a partner that has boundaries. A 6th game would be lame
goldendomer 08/11/23 07:58 AM ET
The only thing that is ridiculous is this response to 1 game, especially
Stech 08/11/23 09:52 AM ET
Six games is nowhere near independent. Heck, 5 games isn't either
goldendomer 08/11/23 10:18 AM ET
What if it stayed 5 ACC games, but Cal & Stan don't count towards the 5?**
SpeakToDamien 08/11/23 10:55 AM ET
If we do not HAVE to play them it is fine
goldendomer 08/11/23 11:18 AM ET
You'd still be indy where it counts. Keeping all the NBC money to yourself.**
tarheelblue 08/11/23 10:49 AM ET
You are already semi independent in football, this is one game and USC has
Stech 08/11/23 10:33 AM ET
There is not a football school in the nation that would walk away from
Big12 guy 08/11/23 10:37 AM ET
They can get games, but to get the big money they need matchups, it's
Stech 08/11/23 10:53 AM ET
Independence is the kiss of death for all but a few.
Big12 guy 08/11/23 10:58 AM ET
They will want to play them, but I think you are underestimating how much
Stech 08/11/23 11:15 AM ET
I think what is missing is that ND needed a home for their basketball and
Big12 guy 08/11/23 08:13 AM ET
For that amount of difference, I think they want someone who they are
132863Hokie 08/11/23 08:44 AM ET
It takes as many votes to expel teams as it does to add them.
tarheelblue 08/11/23 01:00 AM ET
Even if ND joined for football, I doubt it would save the ACC in the end.
tarheelblue 08/10/23 11:12 PM ET
That’s right ND 🏈 would not be that much of an increase, especially playin
Stech 08/11/23 07:06 AM ET
Agree - the future of the ACC won't (and frankly shouldn't) be determined
VPI_1998 08/11/23 04:39 AM ET
It would be close enough**
SpeakToDamien 08/11/23 03:36 AM ET
ND in the ACC would easily be close enough to the B10.
