Did they read the school's Wikipedia entry? Did they watch a few of the school's football and basketball games? Did they tour the campus (or "Grounds" in at least one case)? Did they take an "official visit"? Did they ask for their financial records? Did they have FBI and state police background checks done on all the coaches and administrators? #NoMoreSanduskys Kinda reminds me of the scene in "Moneyball" when Billy asked Pete to analyze 3 ball players on his first day on the job. But he did 61 instead. Heck, we, the TSL board have "vetted" scores of potential candidates for the ACC. In fact, I even vetted Fresno State this year (You're welcome, Jim Phillips). And what does this say about the Pac-12 schools who have been "vetted" by the B1G, but not offered an invitation? These schools are just sitting there cooling their heels. Can we move them to the "passed over" column? And how long does this said vetting occur? I remember some B1G talking heads saying that ONLY USC and UCLA were invited because the others weren't vetted yet. Sounds like BS to me. And BTW, why are they "vetting" candidates from a conference that is under contract until 2036? Another big talking point that comes from Flugaur and his ilk, is that "the schools wanting admission contact the Big Ten FIRST". If this is the case, why are they advertising the vetting of schools that haven't contacted the Big Ten?
