What gets me is how so many think the Big 12...

is ahead of the ACC in pecking order and that when all the dust settles, the Big 12 will be part of the new Power 3. The ACC has the advantages over the Big 12. Big 12 has lost Nebraska (once a football power), Texas A&M, Texas and Oklahoma. That's like the ACC losing Clemson, FSU, Miami and UNC. The ACC has a national network called the ACCN. What does the Big 12 have? ACC has a larger population within its geographic footprint. Sure the Big 12 added the state of Florida with UCF, but they are the #4 college football program in that state and the ACC has 2 of the 3 major football programs in that state, both bringing in a national audience. IMHO, all the noise that we're hearing coming from the Big 12 is akin to a frightened dog barking loudly while pinned in the corner.
