You aren't wrong

MAG7 successfully breakaway from ACC (huge assumption). Consultants can then show say Florida, Georgia, Penn State (to 10 schools) or maybe also Maryland/WVU ( to 12 schools)...that they will not take a pay cut, then nothing is off the table. Remember this ....Florida, PSU, UGA would not only accrete shares to the new entity- they take away from their old friends deals. Long long long shot- with lots of hurdles- but I do believe it would financially work. Like you said, the alternative for those schools is to be in super large unwieldly conferences- the traditions they originally signed up for have already been eroded and will continue to be, so it isnt as big an emotional leap as it would have been a decade or two ago.

My ideal scenario, but it won't happen.

You're sniffing glue. UT and UF will NEVER leave the SEC.

Why not? If the conference could bring in equivalent money, then money

NE to South migration is the demographic the MAG7 is chasing, IMO.
