Because the ACC and PAC quickly realized that they were wrong in siding

with the B1G and The Alliance. The B1G hood winked both (surprise, surprise) into voting against something that was actually in their best interests to vote for. I suspect that they recently indicated that they would now vote in favor of what they just voted against. I think the BIGGER question is why the B1G and SEC want a (12) team playoff. I could make a case for them wanting to stick with (4) or even smaller. With (4), they could have their own conference playoff of 4-6 teams AND keep all of the $ to themselves. Why share $ if you are in their shoes?
