Cable fees in California are pretty nice.
I agree with your point about cable fees. The internet tells me there are 6.25 million cable subscribers in California. At just $1.00 per month (I don't know the actual carriage fee)that brings $75 million per year. No wonder The B1G went west. Their fee is well above $1.00 I believe.
But every plan you come up with must address the GoR. That contract says that any new additions to The ACC must sign-on to the existing GoR. Which among those schools wants to join a GoR that runs until 2036.
The next problem is that when we talk about expansion we tend to look only at the added income. Let's not forget that these schools must be paid a media share. California schools may pay for themselves, but who else does?
