Josh Pate, likely no change in 2025 PO seeding, 4-4-2-2-1-1 likely for 26.
* There still could be 16, but not talked about much, so I am guessing probably not since the P2 are against it.
*SEC probably stays at 8 games
*Not much need for a selection committee in 26 and beyond at the National level because of Auto Bids
*You could easily see a conference selection committee in the P2 and T2 because teams don't play the same amount of ranked teams even if they are in the same Conference. One team could play 5 top 25 and one could play 1 top 25 in the same conference.
* Said since there is no College Football Commissioner every commissioner is only out for their own conference, everything is decided by who has the power. (I think that Jim "Dame" Phillips is out for ND and then the ACC, but rest don't have anyone, but themselves they care about especially at the P4 level)
*Lots of concern from others that Auto Bids will decrease ratings, but who knows until they do it. (We do know by actions the P2 don't care about that)
Me now, I have loved college football my whole life, but I am more and more just want to support and follow the FCS level and down. 98% of the college players will not play in the NFL, and those that do, almost all of them will be broke in 5 years. As a farmer friend of mine used to say, "Pigs get Fat, but Hogs get Slaughtered." IMHO the top tier are Hogs, just like they were in the early 2000's in NASCAR. How did that work out for them?
PS Josh is not advocating for this, but he thinks this is where it is going and with the current power structure is the best we can do now. If so, I find it incredibly sad, but maybe that's just me.

If each of the P4 went to 18 teams, it could work well in the long run.
