A couple questions regarding your proposal.

1. If teams will play the same 8 conference games every year, then what is the point for the conferences remaining at 18 members vs. creating 8 conferences with 9 members? It seems to me that your proposal scheduling format would mean teams would never get to play the 9 teams in the other division. 2. If a team's OOC is already pre-determined, then what would that mean for the ACC-SEC rivalries? You say "Welcome back rivalries!" in one sentence, but your proposal potentially risks harming other rivalries.

Josh Pate, likely no change in 2025 PO seeding, 4-4-2-2-1-1 likely for 26.

Going against the P2 is a technically possible but unrealistic option

I agree with your last statement, but to be clear,

That’s right, P2 will grab what they want, and eventually break off 🏈🏀4💵

Their biggest impediment at this point is ESPN

If each of the P4 went to 18 teams, it could work well in the long run.
hokieZ71 02/22/25 09:12 AM ET
do you honestly think a P4 really exist anymore? **

#1. Exactly, for football. But it matters for other sports.

I doubt you could come up with a strong enough sales pitch to convince VT
VTHokie2000 02/22/25 11:16 AM ET
What the heck? Why would that happen?**
hokieZ71 02/22/25 12:42 PM ET
As I stated previously it would happen because the ACC wanted to make sure
