TV merge why P2 r getting together w/o others, the NCAA endorsed break away
Now the question is what happens to basketball most of all, but other sports too. Do they?
1) Break away the P-2 completely with all sports and leave what’s left for the NCAA to run?
2) Or do they just expand the NCAA tournament to about 96, and the NCAA gets the money for the first rounds and they distribute it like they do now through out non revenue sports and different Divisions? However, the Sweet 16 goes to the participating schools and is paid off like the football playoff money.
I am sure the NCAA wants number 2, but it would not surprise me if the networks and streamers want number 1. You also have the NLRB Dartmouth decisions on athletes being employees and unionizing like NFL players happening yesterday too.
What percentage do you give these two scenarios? Or do you think there is a 3rd option, if so, what is it?
