Yep. how about a tournament that has all of the conference champions,

and 6 at large. Of course you could tweak that, keep it at the top 6 conference champions, and 10 at large - or somewhere in between. Put it out for bid right now, and let it start when the current contract is up. Run by the NCAA, and revenue is distributed to those that participate, by units, like the Basketball tournament. To hell with this 80% for the P conferences, and 20% for the rest. The BIG and SEC would dominate the at large bids, but they are not guaranteed anything. If the P conferences, or the P2 don't want to participate, then take the top conference champions, and the next 16 at large - and it would still command a lot of money. Let the two compete over time. many don't remember that the NIT was at one time the premiere tournament, and the national champion was decided in that tournament. The NCAA eventually took them over, and the roles were reversed. I know the arguments against it, and it will never happen, but it's time to reign in the P2. Those of us left behind in the B12, PAC, and eventually, the ACC need to unite and put the line in the sand. The P2 got their regular season money, but they don't have a "right" to the post season money.
