Were Cal and Stanford invited to the Big12 and refused? Or were they

never invited? Did they ever contact the B12? If so, would they get in? This is all sketchy to me. I can't imagine the B12 turning down a chance to get into California. Also, did SDSU try to get into the B12 at all? Seems to me that they were trying to get into the wrong conference. It will be interesting to see what the Pac-4 decide.
