Maybe only second to Clemson. They will mostly likely see the conference championship game and a CFP invite every year. Notre Dame could come in and the ACC could add Oregon, Washington, Stanford, Utah and maybe take Cincinnati or BYU. Raid the BIG12. Open up the media contract with some strength. The PAC12 leftovers would be happy because they have access to a network. ACC members would be happy to not get picked apart. The stronger members would probably push for a deal that distributes money according to the final standing. And Notre Dame can have some control and flexibility to bail if it doesn’t work. It’s possible the ACC could negotiate a deal close to the BIG10. They don’t have to have more money than the BIG10, just close enough to be no. 2b instead of a distant no. 3. Force a 3 conference situation instead of 2. Just a thought.
