Oklahoma has about 1M more persons living in their State than Kansas,

And a very large % of that population is on reservations. Oklahoma, the University, is a blue blood brand with history, and national recognition. OSU is a VERY good school, and a very good program, but like K-State, they lack the brand. Remember, it's not how good you are, it's what you bring to the party. Selling out and having a passionate fan base apparently is not enough to be in the P2, but it's definitely good enough to get a media deal that puts you on the playing field. The rest is up to OSU, the coaches, and the players. No different than VT.
