Time could end up being another factor on how much a conference uses each

model. If the ACC is able to remain on life support until June 30, 2036, then enough time could pass where the streaming model becomes the dominant model. If that is the case, then fans could see the Big Ten opt to add UVA, UNC, and Duke because of the rivalry all 3 schools have with each other instead of deciding to add UVA, UNC, and either Clemson or GT which would be the preferred route under the cable model. While the SEC appears to have a lot more options on the table for various reasons. If the SEC plans to only add 4 new members, then the streaming model could suggest the SEC adds Clemson, FSU, Miami, and someone else (maybe NC State of because of its "Textile Bowl" rivalry with Clemson). Logically there should be no reason the SEC would want to add 2 more FL schools particularly given the current state of Da U. However, Miami's brand currently still carries weight to it just like with Nebraska. Also, I believe historically the UF-FSU-Miami games have always generated high ratings, so I think that would still continue. Plus, I believe Miami's attendance issue would quickly go away given how well SEC fans travel to away games. ** Edited by VTHokie2000 at 5/17/2023, 7:35:34 PM

I agree that at the moment the ACC has performed better in the NCAA

I think the problem with the ACC basketball is ESPN would rather talk SEC
